Meet Evonne Brown
Owner of Yin Tribe
“I delight in my career as a nurse and midwife, particularly the areas of my job which allow me to look after and nurture others.
Seeking a new lifestyle, where I could combine my vast knowledge of the human body, recovery, and western medicine, with my longing to work with people in a more one-on-one capacity and for a longer period of time than a general hospital stay, I undertook professional training in the areas that I thought would work cohesively with the knowledge I’ve grown through my career so far. These new wellness therapies include massage; remedial, relaxation, and pregnancy , Yin yoga, myofascial release, and Reiki.
On the completion of my Yin yoga training, I wanted to create a boutique studio space where people could gather to unwind, reset, replenish, and feel relaxed. This is where Yin Tribe was born.
My vision has been to create a tribe of people who value movement that nurtures, and to offer a suite of proven wellness methods that we can enjoy collectively or in the quiet space of 1:1 appointments.
With beautiful home-based studios in two of Australia’s most peaceful and tranquil locations; Mount Gambier (Limestone Coast, SA) and Littlehampton (Adelaide Hills, SA), it’s been a joy to grow our tribe and connect with so many people who value our services.”

Owner of Yin Tribe
Nurturing the mother (and father)
Drawing on Evonne’s cherished career as a midwife, and as mother of three who has been through the ebbs and flows of motherhood herself, we wanted to create space in Yin Tribe, for new parents and babies to feel welcome, heard, and part of a community.
To truly nurture the mother as she grows her baby, through pregnancy massage, Yin yoga, meditation, and conversations that validate and put her fears to ease.
Welcoming new mamas and papas to Yin yoga and baby massage classes, where you can connect with both yourself and your baby, through nourishing Yin poses and gentle baby massage techniques, as we hold space for you and your baby to feel everything you’re feeling in that moment. Be comforted that breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, nappy changes, spit-up, and crying babies, are welcomed with warm, loving arms.
Without pregnancy and babies, our society ceases to exist. We honour this period of your life where you may be bound to a smaller someone, as you come into the magical (and sometimes overwhelming) world of parenthood.
Yin Tribe is a space for you to come as you are, while we guide you through practices that restore and nourish.
